Nicholas Joseph Wise (originallyWeisse;[1] June 15, 1866 – January 26, 1923) was a professionalbaseball player. He appeared in one game inMajor League Baseball with theBoston Beaneaters of theNational League on June 20, 1888. He split the game betweencatcher andright field, failing to get a hit in threeat bats. He also played with various teams in theNew England League between 1887 and 1897.
In later life he worked as a ticket seller atBraves Field andFenway Park. He died inJamaica Plain, Boston on January 26, 1923.[1][2]
