Nicholas Hope is a British-born Australian actor, known for the lead role in the 1993 filmBad Boy Bubby.

Early life and education

Born inManchester,England, Hope's family emigrated to the steel and shipbuilding town ofWhyalla, South Australia, where he was educated by theChristian Brothers.[citation needed]

Career

Hope played the lead role inBad Boy Bubby (1993).[1]

He appeared inThe School in 2018,[2] andMoon Rock For Monday, directed byKurt Martin and produced by Jim Robison in 2021.[3]

In 2004, he published a memoir calledBrushing the Tip of Fame, and in 2006 produced amonologue "The Colour of Panic", which played inSydney (The Studio,Sydney Opera House) andOslo (Det Åpne Teater).[citation needed]

Recognition and awards

Hope won theAustralian Film Institute award for Best Actor in a Leading Role award in 1994 for his role inBad Boy Bubby.[1]
