Niall Arthur (born 1992) is an Irishhurler. At club level he plays withInniskeen Grattans, having earlier played withInagh-Kilnamona,O'Tooles andSt Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh, while he has also played at senior inter-county level withLouth andMonaghan.

Career

Arthur first played hurling to a high standard as a student atSt. Flannan's College inEnnis, where he lined out on theHarty Cup team.[1] He later lined out in theFitzgibbon Cup while studying atSt. Patrick's College inDrumcondra.[2]

After beginning his club career withInagh-Kilnamona in Clare, Arthur later transferred to theO'Tooles club inDublin.[3][4] He later spent a period of time playing withSt Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh before once again transferring to theInniskeen Grattans club in Monaghan.[5]

Arthur first appeared on the inter-county scene withClare as a member of theminor team that lost the2010 All-Ireland minor final toKilkenny.[6] He was also the team'stop scorer that year with 0-50. Arthur progressed to theunder-21 team and won back-to-backAll-Ireland U21HC medals in 2012 and 2013.[7][8]

Arthur never played for theClare senior team, but declared forLouth in 2018.[9] He declared forMonaghan in 2023 and was part of the team that won theLory Meagher Cup that year.[10]
