The dozenNgbaka languages are a family ofUbangian languages spoken in theCentral African Republic and neighboring areas. It includesPygmy languages such asBaka and Gundi. The most populous Ngbaka languages areMbaka in the western branch, spoken by a quarter million people, andMayogo in the eastern branch, spoken by half that number.
Like theMba languages, the Ngbaka languages are spoken across discontiguous areas scattered across various central African countries.[1]
