American legislative district
New York's 53rd State Assembly district is one of the 150 districts in theNew York State Assembly . It has been represented byMaritza Davila since 2013.
District 53 is inBrooklyn . It encompasses portions ofBushwick andEast Williamsburg .
The district is entirely withinNew York's 7th congressional district , as well as the18th and59th districts of theNew York State Senate , and the33rd ,34th and37th districts of theNew York City Council .
