Beth Crist[7] (néeVocke; born January 29, 1986) is an Americanprofessional wrestler, better known by thering nameNevaeh. She is best known for her time inImpact Wrestling as well asWomen of Wrestling (WOW) under the nameHazard. Nevaeh also performing on theindependent circuit, most notably forCombat Zone Wrestling.

She competed in the formerWomen Superstars Uncensored, where she was aWSU Spirit Champion, and in the formerShimmer Women Athletes, where she andMadison Rayne (as Ashley Lane) were the promotion's inauguralTag Team Champions, and she was the promotion's finalHeart of Shimmer Champion, winning the belt the night before Shimmer folded operations in 2021. She has also competed withShine Wrestling, and is a former American Luchacore Champ for Rockstar Pro Wrestling in her hometown ofDayton, Ohio.

Professional wrestling career

Early career (2004–2008)

In 2004, Nevaeh wrestled regularly for theHeartland Wrestling Association, facing wrestlers includingHellena Heavenly andHeather Owens. She also made several appearances for Mad-Pro Wrestling, where she managedMatt Stryker.[4] On June 3, 2007, she debuted for Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling, losing toJessicka Havok, and three months later returned to team with her real-life husbandJake Crist to defeatLexi Lane andRobbie Starr.[9] The following month, Neaveh debuted for Ohio Championship Wrestling (OCW), where she won the OCW Women's Championship from Lexi Lane. The duo then formed a regulartag team, and also travelled to Insanity Pro Wrestling (IPW), taking on teams includingSassy Stephie and Angel Dust and Paige Adams andElektra Fine.[4]

Shimmer Women Athletes (2008–2011, 2013–present)

On April 26, 2008, Nevaeh made her debut forShimmer Women Athletes at theVolume 17 tapings, where she and Ashley Lane (the renamed Lexi Lane) lost to The Experience (Lexie Fyfe andMalia Hosaka).[10] They rebounded at the tapings forVolume 18, defeating theMinnesota Home Wrecking Crew (Lacey andRain).[11] On July 5, they beat the duo of Veronika Vice andCat Power before losing toThe International Home Wrecking Crew (Rain andJetta) at theVolume 19 andVolume 20 tapings respectively.[12][13]

On October 19, 2008, Nevaeh and Lane participated in a six-teamgauntlet match to determine Shimmer's inauguralTag Team Champions; they won the match and the title by last eliminating The Experience.[14] At theVolume 22 tapings, they successfully defended the title against theCanadian NINJAs (Portia Perez andNicole Matthews).[15] On November 1, the Tag Team title was defended outside Shimmer for the first time as Nevaeh and Lane retained their championship againstStephie Sinclair and Hellena Heavenly in a match for IPW; they later defended it againstHailey Hatred andMary Elizabeth Monroe at HWA'sHigh Def event as well.[4][6] On May 2, 2009, Nevaeh and Lane retained their title against The International Home Wrecking Crew in atwo out of three falls match, and the following day successfully defended the title againstSara Del Rey andAmazing Kong.[16][17] They lost the championship to the Canadian NINJAs at theVolume 26 tapings, ending their reign at 196 days. After losing the title, Nevaeh and Lane lost again, this time toWesna Busic andMelanie Cruise on November 8. However, they rebounded with a victory over Kacey Diamond andSassy Stephie later on in the night.[4]

Beginning in 2010, Nevaeh moved into singles competition, facing wrestlers includingKellie Skater, Cat Power, and Sassy Stephie. After losing to Sara Del Rey andDaffney, she rebounded with a victory againstAthena atVolume 36.[4] On October 1, 2011, Nevaeh defeated her former tag team partner Ashley Lane in the latter's return to Shimmer before forming a new partnership with Sassy Stephie.[18] AtVolume 42, they defeated Ariel andNikki Roxx, but lost to Regeneration X (Allison Danger andLeva Bates) the next night. On October 2, Nevaeh and Stephie defeated Lane andMia Yim.[4]

After a year-long absence, Nevaeh returned to Shimmer on April 6, 2013; she reunited with Sassy Stephie and aligned with Jessicka Havok to face Regeneration X (Allison Danger and Leva Bates) andSerena Deeb in a six-woman tag team match, with Nevaeh's team losing after she was pinned by Deeb.[19] At Shimmer'sVolume 59, Nevaeh and Stephie defeatedSavannah Summers andSantana Garrett, and then unsuccessfully challenged Kellie Skater andTomoka Nakagawa for the Shimmer Tag Team Championship atVolume 60 on October 20.[20][21] She returned to singles competition the following year, facing off against wrestlers includingChristina Von Eerie,LuFisto,Kay Lee Ray, andKimber Lee.[22][23][24]

Combat Zone Wrestling (2012–present)

On February 4, 2012, Nevaeh made herCombat Zone Wrestling debut with a victory over Kimber Lee. Following the match, her signing was confirmed when she was added to the Bombshells section on CZW's website[25] and she soon joinedJake Crist, Dave Crist, andSami Callihan to form Ohio Is For Killers (OI4K).[7][26] In addition to assuming a managerial role within thestable, Nevaeh continued to perform as a wrestler, as she defeatedCherry Bomb on October 13, 2012, and wrestled Jessicka Havok to ano contest on March 9, 2013.[27] In a rematch, Nevaeh defeated Havok atProving Grounds in May 2013.[28] Over the next year, she faced wrestlers including Christina Von Eerie, Kimber Lee, andShanna, while becoming involved in OI4K's feud withD. J. Hyde and The Front, and was part of a six-person tag team match atCage of Death XV in December, in which she pinned Hyde.[29][30][31] In May 2014, she teamed with Jessicka Havok to defeat Kimber Lee and LuFisto, and later defeated Lee in a singles match in September atDeja Vu.[32][33]

Other promotions (2009–2020)

Nevaeh continued to work for OCW in 2009 and 2010, and IPW until 2012. She also appeared in Clash Wrestling and Remix Pro Wrestling during this time. In 2010, she debuted for All-American Wrestling, and on the May 26, 2010, episode ofWrestlicious' showTakeDown, Nevaeh made her debut for the promotion under the ring name Kickstart Katie.[2] She wrestled at the Queens of Combat inaugural show in 2014.[4]

Nevaeh made herRing of Honor (ROH), debut on March 1, 2009, as she andDaizee Haze defeated Sara Del Rey and Sassy Stephie in a tag team match on the fourth episode ofRing of Honor Wrestling.[34] On May 29, she lost toShimmer ChampionMsChif in a non-title match.[35] The next day, she and Haze lost to MsChif and Del Rey.[36] After a hiatus from ROH, Nevaeh returned to the promotion on October 16, 2010, atRichards vs. Daniels and teamed withLady JoJo to defeat Daizee Haze and Jamilia Craft.[4]

Neveah debuted forWomen Superstars Uncensored on February 9, 2013, defeating Jessie Brooks.[4] As part of theWSU Queen and King of the Ring tournament in May 2013, Neveah and Jake Crist defeated Cherry Bomb andPepper Parks, before losing to Kimber Lee andDrew Gulak in the semi-finals.[37] In August, Neveah lost toAlexxis Nevaeh in a match to determine the number one contender to theWSU Championship. In February 2014, Nevaeh and Christina Von Eerie unsuccessfully challenged Annie Social and Kimber Lee for theWSU Tag Team Championship.[4] On February 21, 2015, Nevaeh won theWSU Spirit Championship by defeatingNiya Barela.[38]

On September 27, 2013, Nevaeh made her debut forShine Wrestling, where she defeated Leva Bates in a singles match. Following the match, Nevaeh was assisted by the S-N-S Express (Jessie Belle and Sassy Stephie) in attacking Bates.[39] She continued to feud with Bates over the next few shows, including a loss in ahardcore match atShine 15, before defeating her atShine 16 to end the storyline.[40][41] AtShine 21, she won a four-way match against Amazing Kong,Su Yung, andLeah Von Dutch.[42] Neveah later formed a new alliance, known as Valifornia, withSoCal Val,Marti Belle, and Jayme Jameson.[43] AtShine 23 in December 2014, she challenged Mia Yim for theShine Championship but lost by disqualification.[44]

Women of Wrestling (2019–present)

On the September 7 episode ofWomen of Wrestling (WOW), during the main event between The Beast,Jessicka Havok and Jungle Grrrl in athree-way elimination match to determine the #1 contender for theWOW World Championship, Nevaeh made her debut under the nameHazard by interfering the match in favor of Havok, establishing themselves as avillainous team in the process.[1] The team competed in theWOW World Tag Team Championship tournament and made it through the finales where they lost toAdrenaline andFire.[45]

Impact Wrestling (2020–2021, 2023)

On April 28, 2020, during the second night ofRebellion, Nevaeh made herImpact Wrestling debut as she watched from distance aFull Metal Mayhem match betweenHavok andRosemary, which was won by Rosemary.[46] On the May 26 episode ofImpact!, Nevaeh interfered a match between Havok andKimber Lee, as Nevaeh stopped Lee from hitting Havok with abrass knuckles. Havok and Nevaeh continued to attack Lee afterwards, establishing themselves as a team.[47] On June 16 episode ofImpact!, Neaveh was victorious in her first match in Impact Wrestling when she defeated Lee.[48] Nevaeh and Havok found themselves feuding withFire N Flava (Kiera Hogan andTasha Steelz), which led into ano disqualification match on the August 11 episode ofImpact!, where Hogan and Steelz were victorious.[49] AtHard to Kill on January 16, 2021, Havok and Nevaeh lost to Fire N Flava in a match to crown the newImpact Knockouts Tag Team Champions.[50]

On the March 30 episode ofImpact, Nevaeh attacked Havok after they lost a match to Fire N Flava, ending their alliance.[51][52] This led to a match between the two on the April 15 episode ofImpact, which was won by Havok.[53] On April 16, she announced her departure from the company.[54]

On June 9, 2023, Nevaeh would make a brief return to Impact during the Countdown toAgainst All Odds event. In a losing effort toKiLynn King.[55]

Personal life

In 2013, she married fellow professional wrestlerJake Crist.[7][26] The couple, who werechildhood sweethearts in the late 1990s while attendingTecumseh High School, have a daughter who was born when both were teenagers.[7] Nevaeh had her second daughter on November 23, 2015.[citation needed]
