Neumann is a crater onMercury. It has a diameter of 120 kilometers.[1] Its name was adopted by theInternational Astronomical Union (IAU) in 1976. Neumann is named for the German architectJohann Balthasar Neumann, who lived from 1687 to 1753.[2] The crater was first imaged byMariner 10 in 1974.[3]
To the east of Neumann isMofolo crater, and to the southeast isEquiano crater. To the southwest are theMirni Rupes.
