Neuharlingersiel is a municipality in thedistrict of Wittmund, inLower Saxony,Germany. Neuharlingersiel is a small bucolic fishing village popular with artists. It is the setting of the German TV seriesDoktor Martin the German version of the BritishDoc Martin series.
In Germany,Doktor Martin an adaptation of the original series, airs onZDF withAxel Milberg as Doktor Martin Helling,[2] a surgeon from Berlin. The counterpart ofPortwenn was the real existing village of Neuharlingersiel inEast Frisia.
