TheNetherlands Competition Authority (Dutch:Nederlandse Mededingingsautoriteit,NMa) was thecompetition regulator for theNetherlands.[1][2] After a merger with theConsumentenautoriteit andOnafhankelijke Post en Telecommunicatie Autoriteit on 1 April 2013, it became theNetherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (Dutch: Autoriteit Consument en Markt).[3] The Netherlands Competition Authority monitored all Dutch markets, to ensure fair competition.[4]
The "Dutch office of Energy Regulation" (Energiekamer) was part of the Netherlands Competition Authority and committed to makingenergy markets work as effectively as possible.
