TheNereidum Montes is amountain range onMars. It stretches 1,143 km, northeast ofArgyre Planitia. It is in theArgyre quadrangle. The mountains are named after aClassical albedo feature.[1] Nereidum Montes hasgullies in some areas.
A hummocky relief resemblingVeiki moraines has been found in Nereidum Montes. The relief is hypothesized to result, very much like Veiki moraines, from the melting of a Martian glacier.[2]
