Nelson Lagoon Airport (IATA:NLG,ICAO:PAOU,FAALID:OUL, formerly Z73) is a state-owned, public-useairport located one nautical mile (1.85 km) east of thecentral business district ofNelson Lagoon,[1] in theAleutians East Borough of theU.S. state ofAlaska. Scheduled airline service toCold Bay Airport is provided byPeninsula Airways (PenAir).[3]
As perFederal Aviation Administration records, this airport had 290 commercial passenger boardings (enplanements) incalendar year 2008, a decrease of 4% from the 302 enplanements in 2007.[2] Nelson Lagoon Airport is included in the FAA'sNational Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (2009-2013), whichcategorizes it as ageneral aviation facility.[4]
