TheNeighbourhood Action Movement (Spanish:Movimiento de Acción Vecinal;MAV) is a nationallocalist[5] political party inArgentina based inCórdoba Province. It was founded in 1999 by Kasem Dandach, animmigrant from Lebanon who served as aprovincial lawmaker.[2] It has run its own candidates in presidential elections in2015 and2019; both times, it has failed to secure enough votes to cross the threshold mandated by theMandatory, Open and Simultaneous Primaries (PASO) to participate in the general election.[9] According to them, they are acentrist group, although the media consider themcenter-right.
According to Raúl Albarracín, the party's leader in Córdoba Province and twice presidential candidate, the Neighbourhood Action Movement stands for afree market economy, supporting regional economies in Argentina'sprovinces and introducing a reform of thejudiciary.[6]
