TheDutch Volleyball Association or in (Dutch : Nederlandse Volleybalbond,NeVoBo) is an organisation founded in1947 to govern the practice ofvolleyball in the Netherlands.
It organises themen's andwomen's championships, and places themen's andwomen's national team under its aegis. The NeVoBo joined the FIVB in 1947.[1][2]
The NeVoBo includedSteven van de Velde, a convicted child rapist, in their team for the 2024 Paris Olympics.[3][4]

The NeVoBo is traditionally divided into several regions. There are currently four regions, however in the past there were more than ten.

In 2024, the Dutch Volleyball Federation nominatedbeach volleyball playerSteven van de Velde for its2024 Olympics team, setting aside the fact that he is a convictedchild rapist and has been placed on thesex offender registry in theUnited Kingdom for life since 2016.[6] The Committee stood by their nomination despite his criminal record forsex crimes and even after the outcry from the British and American public, asserting that van de Velde has "served his sentence".[7]
