Nebojša Petrović (Serbian Cyrillic:Небојша Петровић; born 14 June 1960) is aSerbianfootball manager and former player.
His nickname isMaradona, due to his resemblance to the famousArgentine footballer.[1]
After coming through the youth system ofRed Star Belgrade, Petrović made hisYugoslav First League debut withRijeka in1979. He played just 24 league games in his three seasons at Kantrida, eventually moving toYugoslav Second League sideRad in 1982. Between 1985 and 1988, Petrović spent three seasons withOFK Beograd. He subsequently joinedProleter Zrenjanin, helping them win promotion to the top flight in 1990.[2]
After hanging up his boots, Petrović served as manager of numerous clubs in his homeland and abroad, includingRad (three spells),[3][4] Macedonian sidesSileks (two spells),[5] andPobeda,[6] andFC Yerevan from Armenia.
