The 0-6 age group numbered 262 (152 male and 110 female), or 16.2% of the total population. 385 residents were members of Scheduled Castes, or 23.8% of the total.[2]: 88–9

As of 2011, Nawada had 2 primary schools and 1 dispensary. Drinking water was provided by hand pump and tube well; there were no public toilets. The village did not have a post office or public library; there was at least some access to electricity for all purposes. Streets were made of bothkachcha andpakka materials.[1]: 107–12
