Naveen Polishetty (born 26 December 1989) is an Indian actor and screenwriter who primarily works inTelugu films. Naveen made his debut with the filmAgent Sai Srinivasa Athreya (2019). He then worked in thecoming-of-age blockbuster filmChhichhore (2019), which marked his Hindi debut. Naveen subsequently worked in the comedy filmJathi Ratnalu (2021) and the romantic comedyMiss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty (2023).^[3]

Polishetty was born on 26 December 1989 into a Telugu family in Hyderabad, India. His father is in the pharmaceutical business while his mother is a bank employee. He has a younger brother and a younger sister who are twins. Both his siblings are settled in the United States. He graduated inCivil engineering, fromMaulana Azad National Institute of Technology (also known asNIT Bhopal). He moved toEngland to work as an engineer. He then decided to return to India to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. As his parents were opposed to it, he did not inform them of his return and lived inMumbai by renting a house. He did part-time jobs to pursue a full-time career in acting, worked in theatre and performed in plays.^[4]

Naveen Polishetty started his career by performing in theater plays. He subsequently moved to Mumbai where he started collaborating to make YouTube videos.

In 2019, Naveen made his debut as a leading man in Telugu cinema with the comedy thriller filmAgent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, which he co-wrote and played the lead. He then made his Hindi cinema debut inNitesh Tiwari'sChhichhore as Acid.Chhichhore went onto gross ₹150 crore globally and also earned him aZee Cine Awards nomination for Best Actor in a comic role. He then starred in the 2021 comedy filmJathi Ratnalu. The film was commercially successful at the box office, with a gross collection of ₹70 crore. The film thus emerged as Naveen’s biggest success. Naveen won the Best Actor award at theSIIMA Awards for his portrayal of Jogipet Srikanth. He appeared in the 2023 filmMiss Shetty Mr Polishetty where he played a stand-up comedian alongside Anushka Shetty.

In 2025, He will appear in a comedy entertainer film ‘Anaganaga Oka Raju’. The film features Meenakshi Chowdhary as the female lead.
