Natrona Heights is anunincorporated community inHarrison Township,Allegheny County in theU.S. state ofPennsylvania.[1] It is located inWestern Pennsylvania within thePittsburgh Metropolitan Statistical Area, approximately 24 miles (39 km) northeast ofPittsburgh. Natrona Heights is situated near theAllegheny River,Natrona,Brackenridge, andTarentum.

TheUnited States Census Bureau defined Natrona Heights as acensus designated place (CDP) in 2023.[2]
Natrona Heights is home to both the Pittsburgh-Tarentum Campmeeting Association, a Methodist-based camp over 160 years old,[3] and to the Pittsburgh Buddhist Center.[4] The town's first structure, the Burtner House, still stands and is open for festivals several times a year.[5] The Community Library of Allegheny Valley, Harrison Branch also serves Natrona Heights.[6]
The community is within theHighlands School District.Highlands High School and Highlands Middle School are in Natrona Heights. Private schools include Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Elementary School andSaint Joseph High School.
The filmKnightriders (1981) byGeorge A. Romero starringEd Harris used scenes shot on Pennsylvania Avenue and in a restaurant on Freeport Road in Natrona Heights, as well as several scenes in neighboringNatrona for the movie. Most of the film was shot in nearbyFawn Township.
During interviews for the filmPromised Land (2012) which was shot inWestern Pennsylvania, starJohn Krasinski revealed that his father Ronald had grown up in the Natrona Heights area.[7]
