TheNational Institute for Astrophysics (Italian:Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica, orINAF) is an Italianresearch institute inastronomy andastrophysics, founded in 1999. INAF funds and operates twenty separate research facilities, which in turn employ scientists, engineers and technical staff.
