National Highway 55 (PreviouslyNH42) is aNational Highway in India connectingSambalpur andCuttack in Indian state of Odisha.[1] Starting fromNH 53 in Maneswar,Sambalpur, it terminates atNH 16 inManguli(Cuttack).[2] it is also known asCuttack –Sambalpur Highway. Before renumbering of national highways of India, route of NH-55 was part of old national highway 42.[3] This national highway is 265 km (165 mi) long.[4] It acts as an alternate route ofNH 53 betweenSambalpur &Panikoilii.
NH-55 connectsManeswar atSambalpur,Redhakhol,Bamur,Boinda,Badakera,Angul,Dhenkanal, and terminates atManguli nearCuttack in the state ofOdisha.[2]
