Nathan Mitchell (born December 6, 1988) is a Canadian actor. He is best known for his roles assuperheroesEarving / Black Noir andBlack Noir II in theAmazon Prime Video seriesThe Boys (2019–present), based on thecomic book series of the same name. He is also known for his role as Zion Miller in theNetflix seriesGinny & Georgia (2021–present).
Mitchell was born inMississauga,Ontario. He is ofTrinidadian andJamaican descent.[1]
Mitchell debuted in 2007 with a recurring role on the seriesAliens in America. He appeared onArrow,The Tomorrow People,Timeless,iZombie[2] andSupernatural.[3] Mitchell also appeared in the 2018 filmScorched Earth and theNetflix original seriesGinny & Georgia.[3]
In 2019, Mitchell starred inThe Boys asEarving / Black Noir.[4] Mitchell has a severetree nut allergy in real life, and this was incorporated into the character.[5][6] The Black Noir character died in thethird season finale upon being killed byHomelander. However in thefourth season, Black Noir is replacedin-universe byanother Black Noir who is also portrayed by Mitchell and was unfamiliar on how his predecessor acted.[7]
