Nadwiśle is amunicipal neighbourhood, and aCity Information System area, inWarsaw,Poland, located within the district ofWawer.[1][2] It is a residential area of single-family housing.[3][4]
The archaeological foundings in the area of current Odrębna Street has unearthed the remains of a cemetery dating to theBronze Age and theIron Age.[3]
By 13th century, in the area was founded the village ofMiedzeszyn, owned by theCatholicparish inBłonie. In the Middle Ages there was river crossing acrossVistula, and local inhabitants had permission for fishing.[3]
In the early 20th century, prior to the outbreak of theFirst World War, to the east was established aholiday village, which begun being addressed as Miedzeszyn, while the older settlement became known asMiedzeszyn-Wieś (Village of Miedzeszyn).[3][5]
By 1921 in the area were also present villages ofJulianów,Skrzypki,Wólka Zerzeńska, andZatrzebie.[3][5] On 14 May 1951, it was incorporated into the city ofWarsaw.[6]
In 2004, the district ofWawer was subdivided into the areas of theCity Information System, with one of them becoming Nadwiśle. It was the first time said name was used for the area, with it meaning "a place located on Vistula". It included Miedzeszyn-Wieś, whileMiedzeszyn formed its own area.[1]
Between 2017 and 2020, there was constructed theAnna Jagiellon Bridge forming a crossing across Vistula, and part of theExpressway S2. It was opened on 22 December 2020.[7]

Nadwiśle is a residencial area of single-family housing. Its main road isWał Miedzeszyński Street.[3][4] It is a municipal neighbourhood, governed by aneighbourhood council. Its seat is located at 28 Cyklamenów Street.[2] It also includes neighbourhoods ofJulianów,Miedzeszyn-Wieś,Orzechówek,Skrzypki,Wólka Zerzeńska, andZatrzebie.[3][8]
Within Nadwiśle is located theAnna Jagiellon Bridge, which forms a crossing acrossVistula river, and is a part of theExpressway S2.[7]
Nadwiśle is a municipal neighbourhood, and aCity Information System area, located inWarsaw,Poland, within the south-western portion of the district ofWawer. Its border is determined by a line fromVistula river to the intersection ofWał Miedzeszyński Street and Skalnicowa Street, and continuing alongside Skalnicowa Street untilZerzeń Canal, and following it until Chodzieska Street, then alongside it, Trakt Lubelski Street Street, and Borków Street untilZagóźdź Canal. From there it follows to the south until Błyskawiczna Street, and alongside it, and in the line to Vistula river.[1][2]
It bordersZerzeń to the north,Radość andMiedzeszyn to the west,Falenica to the south, and, via Vistula river,Kępa Zawadowska andZawady to the west, in the district ofWilanów.[1]
