Nadja Sthamer (born 13 March 1990) is a German politician of theSocial Democratic Party (SPD) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag since 2021.[1]
Sthamer was born 1990 in the East German town ofReichenbach im Vogtland and moved toLeipzig in 2008.[1] She studiedpolitical science andreligious studies at theLeipzig University.[1] During her studies, she completed internships at the offices ofFriedrich Ebert Foundation (FES) inAddis Ababa (2012) andKyiv (2013).[2]
Sthamer became a member of the Bundestag in the2021 election, representing theLeipzig II district.[2]
In parliament, Sthamer has since been serving on the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development and theCommittee on Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid.[2]
In addition to her committee assignments, Sthamer has been one of the founding members of a cross-party group promoting aOne Health approach since 2022.[3]
