NGC 938 is anelliptical galaxy located in theconstellation Aries, approximately 184 millionlight years from theMilky Way. It was discovered by thePrussianastronomerHeinrich d'Arrest in 1863.[5][6][7]
Onesupernova has been observed in NGC 938:SN 2015ab (type Ia, mag. 17.3) was discovered 10 July 2015 byKōichi Itagaki.[8][9]
