NGC 852 is abarred spiral galaxy located in theEridanus constellation. It is estimated to be 281 millionlight-years from theMilky Way and has adiameter of about 110,000 light-years. NGC 852 was discovered on October 27, 1834, byJohn Herschel.[5][6]
