NGC 659 , also known as theYin-Yang Cluster[4] is anopen cluster in theCassiopeia constellation. It was discovered byCaroline Herschel in 1783.[2] It was later described byWilliam Herschel as "A beautiful cluster of pretty large stars near 15' diameter considerably rich".[5] It is located in the sky almost directly next toNGC 663.
