NGC 605 is alenticular galaxy in the constellationAndromeda, which is about 234 millionlight-years from theMilky Way. It was discovered on October 21, 1881 by the FrenchastronomerÉdouard Jean-Marie Stephan.[6][5]
SIMBAD lists NGC 605 as anactive galaxy nucleus candidate.[7]
Onesupernova has been observed in NGC 605: SN 2024nnu (type Ia, mag. 15.6).[8]
