NGC 535 is alenticular galaxy in theconstellation Cetus. Its velocity with respect to thecosmic microwave background for is4,600±27 km/s, which corresponds to aHubble distance of 221.3 ± 15.6 Mly (67.84 ± 4.77 Mpc).[4] It has an estimateddiameter of 95,000 light years.[4] NGC 535 was discovered by German astronomerHeinrich Ludwig d'Arrest on October 31, 1864.[5][6][7][4] It is a member of theAbell 194 galaxy cluster.[8]
