NGC 344 is abarred spiral galaxy in the constellationCetus. It was discovered in 1886 byFrank Muller. It was described byJohn Louis Emil Dreyer as "extremely faint, very small, irregularly round, suddenly brighter middle and nucleus (perhaps a star?)."[2]
