NGC 1971 (also known asESO 56-SC128) is anopen cluster which is in theDorado constellation and is part of theLarge Magellanic Cloud. It was discovered byJohn Herschel on December 23, 1834.[4] Its apparent size is 11.9 by 0.80arc minutes.[1][2]
