Character set developed by NEC

NEC APC is an 8-bit character set developed byNEC for theNEC APC, aCP/M-86 andMS-DOS-compatible personal computer in 1983.[1][2] These were a contemporary competitor for theIBM PC, although eclipsed by fullyPC-compatible computers.
