Music Inspired by the Life and Times of Scrooge is the first solo album byFinnish songwriter and keyboardistTuomas Holopainen , best known for his work in thesymphonic metal bandNightwish . It was based on cartoonistDon Rosa 'sThe Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck , agraphic novel which featured theCarl Barks Disney comics characterof the same name . Rosa contributed the cover artwork. The first single, "A Lifetime of Adventure" was released on February 5, 2014 along with a music video directed by Ville Lipiäinen.[ 1] [ 2]
It features several vocalists includingJohanna Kurkela ,Tony Kakko ofSonata Arctica and narration byAlan Reid , with lyrics in English andScottish Gaelic . It also features theLondon Philharmonic Orchestra , the choir groupMetro Voices , and several guest musicians including fellow Nightwish memberTroy Donockley .
