Music Inspired by the Life and Times of Scrooge is the first solo album byFinnish songwriter and keyboardistTuomas Holopainen, best known for his work in thesymphonic metal bandNightwish. It was based on cartoonistDon Rosa'sThe Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, agraphic novel which featured theCarl BarksDisney comics characterof the same name. Rosa contributed the cover artwork. The first single, "A Lifetime of Adventure" was released on February 5, 2014 along with a music video directed by Ville Lipiäinen.[1][2]

It features several vocalists includingJohanna Kurkela,Tony Kakko ofSonata Arctica and narration byAlan Reid, with lyrics in English andScottish Gaelic. It also features theLondon Philharmonic Orchestra, the choir groupMetro Voices, and several guest musicians including fellow Nightwish memberTroy Donockley.
