Amural ofRobin Williams was painted on the north exterior ofChicago's Concord Music Hall, in theU.S. state ofIllinois, in 2018.[1] The large[2] painting depicts Williams, who was born in Chicago, inblack and white,[3] as well as multiple identical eyeless versions of theGenie character he voiced inDisney'sAladdin franchise. It was a collaboration between New York street artist Jerkface and New Zealand artistOwen Dippie.[4][5]
The mural was voted runner-up in the Best Mural category ofChicago Reader's 'Best of Chicago' readers' poll.[6] The work's message has been interpreted as one of raising awareness forsuicide prevention.[7]
