Muradnagar Assembly constituency is one of the 403 constituencies of theUttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly,India. It is a part of theGhaziabad district and one of the five assembly constituencies in theGhaziabad Lok Sabha constituency. First election in this assembly constituency was held in 1967 after the "Delimitation order" was passed and the constituency was constituted in 1967.[1] The constituency was assigned identification number 54 after the "Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008" was passed. Muradnagar assembly constituency have having a low dynamics with 91.50% Hindus and 5.16% are Muslims.[2][3][4]Jats are the largest community in Muradnagar assembly constituency,Brahmins are the second largest community in Muradnagar assembly constituency,SC/ST is the third largest community in Muradnagar assembly constituency,Yadavs is fourth,Rajputs,Baniyas,Gujjars,Muslims,Prajapati etc. community population around 138,939Jats, 49,050Brahmins including 34,050Tyagis, 41,000 SC/ST Castes, 37,950Yadavs, 21,085Muslims, 20,432Rajputs, 16,754Baniyas, 13,893Gujars, 13,076 (Prajapati,saini,bhumihar) etc. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes made up 10.68% and 0.12% of the population respectively.[5][3][4]
