Murabba (fromArabic:مربى) is a sweetfruit preserve which is popular in many regions ofSouth Caucasus,Central Asia,South Asia, and theMiddle East. It is generally prepared with fruits, sugar, and spices. A similar dish to murabba (spoon sweets) is also popular in theBalkans.

Popular fruits that are candied and left in Its own syrup areapple,fig,cherry,pear,Indian gooseberry (amla),mango,plum,quince,peach andwinter melon.[1]

The most popular fruits and other ingredients turned into murabba (Armenian:մուրաբա) inArmenia/Armenian cuisine arewatermelon,watermelon rind, quince,pumpkin,apricot,mulberry,raspberry, pear, cherry,cornelian cherry, plum,pomegranate, andwalnut.[2][3][4][5][6]
