TheMunicipality of Ljutomer (pronounced[ˈljuːtɔmɛɾ]ⓘ;Slovene:Občina Ljutomer) is amunicipality in northeasternSlovenia, some 40 kilometers (25 mi) east ofMaribor. Traditionally it was part of the region ofStyria. It is now included in theMura Statistical Region.[2] Its largest settlement and the administrative seat isLjutomer. It bordersCroatia.
The municipality includes Ljutomer Ponds–Jeruzalem Hills Nature Park (Slovene:Krajinski park Ljutomerski ribniki – Jeruzalemske gorice), which covers 1,346 hectares (3,330 acres).[3]
