Mummel River, awatercourse of theManning River catchment, is located in theNorthern Tablelands andMid North Coast districts ofNew South Wales,Australia.
Mummel River rises on the eastern slopes of theGreat Dividing Range, belowMount Sugarloaf, southeast ofWalcha and flows generally south by west, southeast, and then south southeast, joined by one minortributary, before reaching itsconfluence with theCooplacurripa River, north of Giro, northwest ofTaree. The river descends 898 metres (2,946 ft) over its 65 kilometres (40 mi)course.[1] There are two fault lines that are near the path of the river.[2]
