Moyer Creek starts atWheelock Pond nearJerusalem Hill, New York. PastGulph, New York Moyer Creek follows a deep ravine, theFrankfort Gorge, south towardsFrankfort, New York before converging with theMohawk River inFrankfort, New York.[1] The headwaters of Moyer Creek rise within a half mile of the source of theUnadilla River which is the most northerly headwater source of the Susquehanna and the closest to the Mohawk River.[2]
Moyeria, a fossil (Palaeozoic) unicell organism (aneuglenid) was found in outcrops located near the Moyer Creek and has been named after it.[3][4]
