Mount Maidu is located southwest ofMount Tehama, northwest ofLake Almanor, and north ofChico, California.
Mount Maidu is one of the severalstratovolcanoes that surround the modernLassen Peak.[2] It hasrhyolite lava domes on its northern flank.[1]
