Moukaporis was a coastal town ofancient Bithynia located on theBosphorus. Moukaporis, took its ancient name from a king or a noble figure of Bithynia.Dionysios described this harbor in his work, as “quite beautiful” and there is a phrase that reads “afterDaphne Mainomene comes Moukaporis.”[1]
Its site is located on the Asian side ofIstanbul, in theBeykoz district, in theYalıköy neighborhood, at a place known asHünkar İskelesi (the Sultan’s Pier) ofAsiatic Turkey.[2][3]
