Moses Anthony Wright (born December 23, 1998) is an American-born naturalizedCypriot professionalbasketball player forOlympiacos of theGreek Basketball League (GBL) and theEuroLeague. He playedcollege basketball for theGeorgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He is also known asWright the Right.
Wright grew upswimming and playingtennis. He did not play basketball until he was entering high school. Wright attendedEnloe High School inRaleigh, North Carolina, where he played on thejunior varsity team for his first two years. He competed for the Raleigh Hawks, ahomeschool team, as a junior before making Enloe'svarsity team in his senior season. He averaged 21.5 points, 13.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game per game as a senior.[2] He committed to playing college basketball forGeorgia Tech.[3] He was lightly recruited byNCAA Division I programs and not ranked by major recruiting services.[4]
Wright averaged 3.6 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in his freshman season at Georgia Tech.[5] On March 12, 2019, he recorded a sophomore season-high 25 points and seven rebounds in a 78–71 loss toNotre Dame at the first round of theACC tournament.[6] As a sophomore, Wright averaged 6.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. On February 22, 2020, he posted a career-high 33 points and 10 rebounds in a 79–72 loss toSyracuse.[7] In his junior season, he averaged 13 points and seven rebounds per game.[8] On November 25, he registered 31 points and 20 rebounds in a 123–120 loss toGeorgia State in quadruple overtime.[9]
On March 8, 2021, Wright was named theACC Player of the Year and first-teamAll-ACC for his senior season.[10] He missed theNCAA tournament round of 64 game againstLoyola Chicago after testing positive forCOVID-19.[11] As a senior, he averaged 17.4 points, 8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.6 blocks per game. On March 28, 2021, Wright declared for the2021 NBA draft.[12]
After going undrafted in the2021 NBA draft, Wright joined theNew Orleans Pelicans for the2021 NBA Summer League and averaged 7.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. On September 27, 2021, he signed with theLos Angeles Clippers.[13] However, he was waived on October 14.[14]
On October 27, Wright signed with theAgua Caliente Clippers as an affiliate player.[15] In 13 games, he averaged 13.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in 29.7 minutes.[16]
On December 21, 2021, Wright signed a ten-day contract with theLos Angeles Clippers.[16]
On December 31, 2021, Wright was reacquired and activated by theAgua Caliente Clippers of theNBA G League.[17]
On February 24, 2022, Wright signed atwo-way contract with theDallas Mavericks.[18]
In April 2022, Wright was awarded AllNBA G League First Team.[19]
On July 28, 2022, Wright signed with theZhejiang Golden Bulls of theChinese Basketball Association.[20]
In July 2023, Wright made the 2023NBA Summer League debut for theToronto Raptors.[21]
On December 16, 2023, Wright signed withMerkezefendi Belediyesi of the TurkishBasketbol Süper Ligi (BSL).[22]
On January 26, 2024, Wright signed withOlympiacos of theGreek Basketball League (GBL) and theEuroLeague through the summer of 2025.
On October 16, 2024, Wright received the Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for Round 2 of the domestic league, putting up a stat sheet of 23 points and 7 rebounds.[23]
On December 6, 2024, it was announced that Wright had been ruled out for the rest of the season due to unspecified health concerns.

Wright's father, Gerald, died of aheart attack in January 2012 after developing astaph infection following years of health issues. His mother, Calla, is a former music teacher for theWake County Public School System.[2]
