TheMonti Volsini orVulsini are a minormountain range in northernLazio,Italy, near theLake Bolsena. The highest point is that of Passo della Montagnola, in thecomune ofLatera, at c. 645 m.[citation needed]
The area is the relic of an ancient volcano (Vulsinio). In the areagrape andolives are intensively cultivated, while vegetation includeOak,Alder andSweet Chestnut.Boar is also present in the Volsini region.[citation needed]
The range takes its name from the ancientEtruscan city ofVulsinii.[citation needed]
