Slatkin received his undergraduate degree in mathematics fromMassachusetts Institute of Technology and his PhD fromHarvard University.

Research

Slatkin is faculty of the Slatkin Research Group,[5] in the Center for Theoretical Evolutionary Genomics.[6]

Publications

Slatkin is the author of several books[7][8][9][10] and scientific papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Awards

In 2000, Slatkin won theSewall Wright Award and is on the Science Board of theSanta Fe Institute.[11]
