Montevarchi Calcio Aquila 1902 is an Italian professional football club, based inMontevarchi,Tuscany. It plays inSerie D Group E.
The manager is Athos Rigucci.[1]
The club was founded in 1902 asSocietà Ciclistica Aquila and in 1926 was renamedClub Sportivo Aquila Montevarchi.[citation needed]
Montevarchi in the season 2010–11, fromSerie D group E was relegated, in the play-out, toEccellenza Tuscany.[citation needed]
On 24 November 2011 it was declared bankrupt and immediately excluded from the championship ofEccellenza Tuscany with the consequent radiation from the Italian football.[citation needed]
Its main rivalries of Tuscany includedArezzo,[2]Carrarese,[2]Sangiovannese,[2]Siena,[2]Viareggio,[2]Poggibonsi,[3]Prato,Lucchese,Pistoiese andMassese and those outside the region includedAlessandria,Foligno,Pavia andGualdo.
