Monte Vista High School is a comprehensive public high school located inDanville, California,United States.[3] It is aNational Blue Ribbon school, as well as aCalifornia Distinguished School. It is fullyWASC accredited. The school is located in theSan Ramon Valley, approximately 35 miles (56 km) east ofSan Francisco, and is part of theSan Ramon Valley Unified School District.[4] Their school mascot is a mustang.

Academics

The school is fully accredited by theWestern Association of Schools and Colleges,[5] and offers college preparatory courses that areUniversity of California A-G certified. In 2014, the school offered 23Advanced Placement courses and 7 honors courses.[6] The school also offers courses through theCalifornia Association of Regional Occupational Centers and Programs.

Sports

The Monte Vista Mustangs compete in theEast Bay Athletic League (EBAL) of theCIF North Coast Section (NCS). They won theCIF championships in boys' basketball (2014) and girls' swimming (2017).[7][8]
