Montana Highway 2 (MT 2) is a 63.241-mile-long (101.777 km)state highway in the southern part of the U.S. state ofMontana. It extends fromInterstate 15 (I-15) andI-90 inButte to I-90 inThree Forks. Previously, this roadway was a part ofU.S. Route 10 (US 10).
MT 2 begins inButte at aninterchange withI-15 andI-90, whichtravel concurrently through the city. The highway heads south and then southeast through ruralSilver Bow County. The highway crossesPipestone Pass and entersJefferson County. It travels throughWhitehall andCardwell. As it nearsThree Forks, MT 2 meetsUS 287 and the two highways travel concurrently for approximately ten miles (16 km). Just west of Three Forks, MT 2 splits away from US 287 and then enters the city. The highway ends at another interchange with I-90; the roadway continues asSecondary Highway 205 (S-205).
