Montana De La Rosa (néeStewart)[1] (born February 14, 1995) is an Americanmixed martial artist (MMA). She competed in theFlyweight division in theUltimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
De La Rosa was born inHelena, Montana, United States, but grew up inAzle, Texas.[7] She started training in wrestling at Azle High School and after faring well in both state and national competition she was offered a scholarship toOklahoma City University.[7][6] However, as ateenage mom she quickly transferred back to Texas where she attendsTarrant County College, majoring in kinesiology,[6][8] De La Rosa started trainingBrazilian jiu-jitsu after she graduated in 2013 and later transitioned to MMA.[6]
De La Rosa started her professional MMA career in 2014. She was the formal Xtreme Fighting League (XFN) flyweight champion and amassed a record of 7–4 prior participated inThe Ultimate Fighter 26 UFC TV MMA competition series which she was subsequently signed by UFC after the show.[9]
In August 2017, it was announced that De La Rosa was one of the fighters featured onThe Ultimate Fighter 26,[10] UFC TV series, where the process to crown the UFC's inaugural 125-pound women's champion will take place.[11] In the opening round, De La Rosa faced Ariel Beck and she won the fight D'Arce choke in round one.[12] In the quarterfinals, she facedNicco Montaño and lost the bout via unanimous decision.[13]
De La Rosa made her UFC debut on December 1, 2017, onThe Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale against Christina Marks. She won the fight via a submission in round one.[14]
Her next fight came on July 6, 2018, atThe Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale againstRachael Ostovich.[15] She won the fight via a rear-naked choke in round three.[16]
On February 10, 2019, De La Rosa facedNadia Kassem atUFC 234.[17] She won the fight via a submission in round two.[18] The win earned her thePerformance of the Night bonus.[19]
De La Rosa facedAndrea Lee on June 22, 2019, atUFC Fight Night 154.[20][circular reference] She lost the fight by unanimous decision.[21]
De La Rosa facedMara Romero Borella on February 15, 2020, atUFC Fight Night 167.[22] She won the fight via unanimous decision.[23]
De La Rosa was scheduled to faceMaryna Moroz on September 5, 2020, atUFC Fight Night 176.[24] However, Moroz was forced to withdraw from the event due to visa issues and she was replaced byViviane Araújo.[25] De La Rosa lost the fight via unanimous decision.[26]
De La Rosa was scheduled to faceTaila Santos, replacingMaryna Moroz, on December 5, 2020, atUFC on ESPN 19.[27] However, the fight was removed from the event after one of De La Rosa's cornermen tested positive for COVID-19.[28]
De La Rosa facedMayra Bueno Silva on February 27, 2021, atUFC Fight Night 186.[29] After three rounds of fighting, the fight ended with a draw from the judges.[30]
De La Rosa facedAriane Lipski on June 5, 2021, atUFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Sakai.[31] She won via TKO in the second round, the first of her career.[32]
De La Rosa was expected to faceMaycee Barber on December 11, 2021, atUFC 269.[33] However, De La Rosa pulled out of the fight in early October citing injury. While not officially confirmed by the promotion, officials are expected to leave the matchup intact and reschedule it for a future event.[34]
De La Rosa facedMaycee Barber on April 23, 2022, atUFC Fight Night 205.[35] She lost the fight via unanimous decision.[36]
De La Rosa facedTatiana Suarez on February 25, 2023, atUFC Fight Night 220.[37] She lost the fight via a submission in round two.[38]
De La Rosa was scheduled to faceStephanie Egger atUFC Fight Night 229 on October 7, 2023.[39] However, Egger pulled out for undisclosed reasons and was replaced byJJ Aldrich.[40] De La Rosa lost the fight via unanimous decision.[41]

De La Rosa was scheduled to faceLuana Carolina on March 1, 2025 atUFC Fight Night 253.[44] However, the bout was scrapped as a result of Carolina's botched weight cut.[45]
On March 20, 2025, it was reported that De La Rosa was removed from the UFC roster.[46]
Robertson competed againstGillian Robertson in the main event of Pit Submission Series 3 on March 23, 2024.[47] She lost by unanimous decision.[48]
