Mont Brulé (also known asMont Brûlé orMont Braoulé) is amountain of thePennine Alps, located on theSwiss-Italian border, east of theCol Collon. On its northern side it overlooks the upperArolla Glacier.
Though inFrench this name means "burnt mountain", this toponym comes fromValdôtain Francoprovençal patois. According to Aostan botanist and scientistJoseph-Marie Henry,[3] the wordBroillà means "made ofbreuils",Breuil meaning alpine marshy berm, as forBreuil inValtournenche.
