Monosodium tartrate orsodium bitartrate is asodiumacid salt oftartaric acid. As a food additive it is used as an acidity regulator and is known by theE number E335. As an analytical reagent, it can be used in a test forammonium cation which gives a whiteprecipitate.[1][2][3]
