SyedMohammed Asrarullah Hussaini, popularly known asImam Ali Shah (1856 - 1920) was asufi saint and a contemporary of Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi. Hussaini migrated fromDamascus,Syria toBerar Province now inMaharashtra,India, and then toHyderabad at the age of 18. He claimed to be a descendant of the Islamic prophetMohammed.
He laid the foundation and constructed Masjid-e-Baghdadi also known as Tek-ki-Masjid, which is attached to his shrine in Nampally,Hyderabad,Telangana.[1]
