In March 2022, it was announced thatAmazon Prime Video had greenlit six Japanese original series, includingModern Love Tokyo.[2] A teaser video for the series was released on 30 March 2022.[3]
It is the third remake ofModern Love to premiere,[1] afterModern Love Mumbai[4] andModern Love Hyderabad.[5]
